The Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB) in Kilimanjaro Region, has identified corruption over Sh 2.6 billion in the 18 allegations involving senior government officials, civil society groups, political leaders and advocates.

According to the PCCB Commander Kilimanjaro Region, Alex Handa, the institute received a total of 72 charges, which after scrutiny, 41 zilithibitika.

Handa said the study is for the period July to December this year, and that large areas yaliyolalamikiwa are cooperatives, SACCOs, corruption and abuse in the mortgage banking, ghost workers and financial corruption of a general election was held in October last year.

Handa said the allegations involved 18 senior officials of the Government, civil society groups, political leaders, businessmen and workers in the banking unrighteous.

He said that during the same period, the institute has managed to save more than Sh 31 million due to the payment of salaries air along with other transactions.
